Tuesday School will begin on November 18, 2008 for all children in grades K-12. We begin right after school and end at 4:45. We will meet each Tuesday of the school year, excluding December and March breaks, with the ending date of April 21st. Our annual Student Recognition Day will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2009. Please email Elaine for more information. Parents and perspective students are invited to attend a Tuesday School session to discover more about our program.

Tuesday School themes for the last few years have included: “Unity with Diversity”, “Peace”, “Acceptance”, and “Acts of Lovingkindness”. Our theme for this year’s study is “Gratitude” and the stories and curriculum we study will be based around this theme. Each curriculum is designed to enhance learning at appropriate developmental levels. The students are divided into grade level classes, each with an individual teacher; however, whole group stories are told by Gregg Anderson at the beginning of each meeting day. A community service component is also an integral part of the Tuesday School Program.

The Aspen Chapel Kids are joining our friends from the Jewish Congregation to help with Soles4Souls. We are collecting new and “gently” used shoes to send to those in need. The organization helps people in 60 countries on 5 continents – Bring your shoes to the Aspen Chapel and we will make sure they are reused!
