Insight Meditation

with Lisa Goddard

For 2600 years the practices and teachings of Buddhism have offered a systematic way to see
clearly and live wisely. They have offered a way to discover liberation within our own
bodies and minds, in the midst of this very life.

Through Practice We:

  • Cultivate Awareness
  • Reduce Stress
  • Transform reactivity into wise response
  • Recognize habitual thoughts and mind states and learn how to not react from them
  • Develop compassion toward ourselves and  kindness toward all beings

Every week we will focus on a topic within a theme.

Creating Space webAt the moment we are looking at what the topic of 'Creating Space'.
The way to create more harmony in our world is by us individually creating the space for harmony to come about.
How do we create the space for this to happen?
What is the technology involved in creating space for ourselves and others?

There will also be prayer and meditation, generally led by Heather, and Nicholas will give a talk on the topic for the day.

Finally, there is an opportunity for discussion and feedback as we pass the microphone around for everyone to join in.

Kids? We also offer childcare with younger children being looked after and given creative ways to look at a topic for the day.

Coffee and Yummies. After the service there is a food and drink reception for everyone to get to know each other a bit more.
