“A Broken Hallelujah”
Following Bill Redfield’s visit to the Chapel in April 2023, as part of the spring speaker series, he and Heather Vesey created a virtual retreat - "A Broken Hallelujah", which ran from September 10th to November 12th, but is still available, and you can register and listen in your own time here.
Rather than avoiding, pushing away or denying the difficult things that happen in life, what if we actually found that it’s IN those very things we want to shun, that we find the most freedom, joy, growth and generativity? Do we want to live a sterile and sanitized hallelujah, or a real, beautiful, broken hallelujah? This program is a series of audio recordings, with their voices put to music, exploring the relationship between suffering and transformation.

Wisdom Mentoring

A program looking at the one-on-one discipline and dynamic of "Wisdom Mentoring".

This is a series of recordings that draws on the lives and writings of poet Rainer Maria Rilke and the young Etty Hillesum who died in Auschwitz, and unpacks some of the inherent dynamics of living with and for each other. Exploring how it’s in relationship, in community, that we truly grow in to our fuller selves.

Finally, there is an opportunity for discussion and feedback as we pass the microphone around for everyone to join in.
